Abu Dhabi has an interesting history of modernist architecture, captured in the photography project "Everyday Icons" by photographer Jon Wallis. This publication shows a selection of approx. 60 modernist buildings with his photographs and drawings specifically created for this book. An essay by Lina Ahmad and Marco Sosa will contextualize the buildings and shed light on Abu Dhabi's unique architectural history.
