About this book
Reducing energy consumption in Germany's housing stock is a key task for the coming years. This requires cost-effective and material-saving solutions. The approach follows the principles of simple construction, i.e., the use of technology is kept to a minimum. Based on an analysis of three housing estates in Munich, we explain how the goal of reducing CO2 emissions can be achieved without increasing the rent including heating costs.
Florian Nagler is a professor at the Technical University of Munich, where he holds the Chair of Design and Construction Anne Niemann is an architect and research assistant at the Chair of Design and Construction Tilmann Jarmer is an architect and research assistant at the Chair of Design and Construction
