Architecture is often attributed a great deal of influence, yet the concept of “impact” itself is rarely articulated in scientific or theoretical terms. There is a significant need for clear definitions of the concept of the effects of architecture. The aim of this book is to bring together fragmented theories and methods—previously separated along disciplinary lines—for investigating the effects of architecture and urban design.
