They became reknown for their clever interventions in existing architecture and for their expert implementation of sustainable concepts. Volume 16 of the monographic series documents approximately 70 buildings and designs. The spectrum ranges from major international projects such as the modernized Estadio Santiago Bernabéu in Madrid, Fengtai Station in Beijing and the soccer stadium in Kunshan, China, to sustainable high-rise buildings such as the CCFED SCI-TECH Innovation Building in Guangzhou, and on to renovations of historic landmarks such as the Alster Swimming Hall in Hamburg or the Hyparschale in Magdeburg. A special focus is the documentation of the exhibition series “UMBAU. Nonstop Transformation”.
