Anlässlich der jährlich vergebenen Eidgenössischen Preise für Design realisiert das Bundesamt für Kultur eine Publikation und eine Ausstellung – dieses Jahr in Zusammenarbeit mit dem Museum für Gestaltung in Zürich. Sie dienen als Plattformen, um alle Preisträgerinnen und Preisträger sowie ihre ausgezeichneten Projekte in Text und Bild zu präsentieren und zu dokumentieren. Zu sehen sind Werke u.a. aus den Bereichen Mode, Textil, Grafik, Fotografie, Produktdesign und Schmuck. Das Mandat zur grafischen Gestaltung dieser Publikation wird jeweils für drei Jahre an junge und innovative GestalterInnen vergeben. Nachdem das Zürcher Grafikbüro BONBON die Ausgaben 2007, 2008 und 2009 gestaltet hat, überrascht Jonathan Hares dieses Jahr mit einer schlankeren Publikation, die durch eine umfangreiche Webplattform ergänzt wird.

Each year, on the occasion of the annual Eidgenössische Preise für Design (Swiss Federal Design Awards), the Bundesamt für Kultur (Federal Office of Cultrure) releases a publication and mounts an exhibition – this year it is doing so in collaboration with Museum für Gestaltung in Zurich. Publication and exhibition – which are complemented by a comprehensive website premiering this year – serve as platforms for presenting and documenting all the award-winners together with their prizewinning projects in text and images. On display are works from a broad range of fields, including fashion, textiles, graphic design, photography, product design, and jewelry.
