Bolle Tham (*1970) und Martin Videgård (*1968) gründeten 1999 ihr Architekturbüro in Stockholm. Derzeit planen sie die neue School of Architecture auf dem Gelände des Royal Institute of Technology (KTH) in Stockholm; ihr Moderna Museet Malmö hat jüngst die Tore geöffnet. Tham und Videgård gehen bei ihren Entwürfen von der Nordischen Tradition aus – Naturverbundenheit und sparsamer Mittel-Einsatz – sowie von den realen Projekt-Gegebenheiten, das Resultat sind dann aber Gebäude, die durch ihre überraschende Formgebung faszinieren.

In their designs, Tham and Videgård take as their starting points the Nordic tradition – closeness to nature and economy of means – as well as the concrete parameters of the project on which they are working; the result, however, is buildings with surprising and fascinating forms.
