Oktober 2014 zeigte der Werkraum Bregenzerwald die Ausstellung welche als wandernder Showcase konzipiert ist und anschließend weltweit in den Österreichischen Kulturforen gezeigt wird. Die Publikation dokumentiert die Ausstellung in ihrer finalen Form.

It has borders with southern Germany, Switzerland, and the Principality of Liechtenstein and has a pop ulation of a little over 375,000 inhabitants. Its capital, Bregenz, is situated on Lake Constance. The region has seen its building culture develop along a special path with a movement beginning in the late 1950s and early 1960s that has been labelled the Vorarlberger Bauschule (Vorarlberg School of Building), a name that resonates far beyond local and national borders and is now represented by a relatively high density of quality architecture. The “Getting Things Done” exhibition was on display at the Werkraum Bregenzerwald from 13 September to 11 October. The exhibition was conceived as a traveling showcase and shall be shown at Austrian cultural venues worldwide. The publication documents the exhibition in its final form.

The “Getting Things Done” publication series complements the current traveling exhibition on architecture in Vorarlberg, which shall be touring 30 Austrian cultural venues all over the world throughout the next five years.Architecture from Vorarlberg is a fascinating example of how construction practices are derived from regional criteria. Hence it is an emblematic case of contemporary regional identity in a time of uniformity and globalization.

"Getting Things Done" begleitet als Publikationsreihe eine aktuelle Wanderausstellung über die Architektur Vorarlbergs. Sie wird über die nächsten Jahre weltweit in 30 Österreichischen Kulturforen zu sehen sein.
Architektur aus Vorarlberg ist ein faszinierendes Beispiel einer aus den regionalen Kriterien ableitbaren baukulturellen Praxis und ist damit ein zeitgemmäßes Exempel lokaler Identität in Zeiten nivellierender Globalisierung.
